How to verify using WordPress?
For WordPress users, it’s fairly simple to add the Verify codes to your website. In order to do so, you’ll have to install one plugin for the first code and add the second code in your text editor.
Step 1: Add a plugin
For the first code that needs to be added to the HEAD-section, you will need to install the plugin “Header Footer Code Manager“. Simply search for this plugin under “Plugins” in your WordPress menu and hit the buttons “Install” and “Activate“.
After installing, a new menu-item will appear on the left side, called “HCFM“:
Head over there and click on the “Add new snippet” button in the top left corner.
Now, leave all settings as they are, except for the name. Fill in a random name that you like and head over to the “Snippet / Code” section.
In there you’ll copy and paste the first code that needs to be in the HEAD section:
Hit “Save”. Your first code is now added.
Step 2: Adding the second code
For the second code, you will need to add or adjust a new or excisting post or page. This needs to be the page where you want to show the backlinks from other webmasters. Head over there and edit this specific page via de WordPress menu.
Now in the text editor, you will have to press the + icon, type in “HTML” and click on “Custom HTML“:
Next, you’ll copy the code from the “Verify” step and paste in the text editor:
That’s it! Hit “Save” and your done.
Now hit “Verify” in the last step and you’re ready to exchange backlinks really fast. 🙂
